Easter

This Easter was vastly different than last year's.  Last year we were in Springfield, still didn't have a church, and it was Lydia's first Easter and we didn't do anything.  :(  It was sad.  So I wanted to make up for it this year.  Friday we went over to the Du Toit's home and they hosted a fantastic Easter egg hunt for all the little toddlers.  We even had crafts and hot dogs!  Lydia loved playing with all her friends, I basically had to pick her up to get her to come home.  She was definitely not voluntarily walking out of there.  By the end of it all, her face was bright red and she was really sweaty.

If one piece of chalk isn't enough, many pieces should be just right.

Getting a group picture was EXTREMELY difficult!  This is the best I got.  I believe there were 8 toddlers and 6 babies.  Quite a houseful.

Lydia actually got the gist of the whole "find an egg and put it in your basket" thing.  She did really well.  The yard was littered with eggs and it took these kids no time at all to have them all picked up.

 Here's our friend Wyatt.

Later on that evening we met a few other couples at Sonic and watched the kids play on their awesome playground and jump in the bouncy house.  Lydia enjoyed the bouncy house a lot!  Then we went over to a friends house and the kiddos continued the play date some more.  It was a fun filled day and I'm sure Lydia slept pretty well that night.

Here's Lydia and her future husband Noah on Easter morning at church.  Notice they are holding hands. :)

Then later that afternoon we went over to Mimi and Pawpaw's for some dinner.  That's where I gave Lydia her bag of Easter goodies.

I pray everyone had a blessed Easter.  He is Risen!
