House Closing!

     We finally closed on our house this morning!!  The title company has been delaying this for about 10 days now and it was VERY frustrating.  We were told a while back that we would probably close on May 1.  So I told our apartment office that we would be moving out on the 15th of May.  That way we would have a good solid 2 weeks to work on the house and get mostly everything done.  Then it kept getting pushed back further and further until they told us the 10th would be our closing day.  Well folks, that would leave us with 5 measly days to work on the house and Kevin has to work 3 out of those 5 days.  Not possible!  So I called the apartments back and asked if there was any possible way we could stay even a day longer.  I was really expecting them to say no, cause I figured they already had someone lined up to move in right after we move out.  She said we could stay till the 20th!  You have no idea how happy this made me.  That gives us five extra days to get stuff done and get our house move in ready.  I was so thankful and couldn't stop thanking God.  Such a blessing!  That really reduced my stress load tremendously.
     Last night Kevin and I went to Lowe's and bought all our paint colors (I sure hope they look good cause I spent a lot of time deciding), and we bought an entire kitchen, literally.  We bought a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and an oven.  Then today I went back and bought our wood floors.  Needless to say we have spent a lot of money in just the past 2 days alone.  Not to mention our closing cost from this morning.  After our closing we went over to our new house and I took about 30 "before" pictures.  I really regretted not having before pics from our first house, so I wasn't making the same mistake again.  I can't wait to post our before and afters!!  It's going to be awesome!  To me anyway.  :) 
     Moving has never really stressed me out as much as this move.  Not sure why.?  Last time we moved from Missouri we had Lydia, so it's not our first move with a child.  I contribute it to the closing date continuously being pushed back, therefore not allowing us to get anything done to the house.
     This weekend we are hoping to have all the painting finished.  Then hopefully by Monday our wood floors will be delivered and installed.  Tuesday probably painting trim and shelves and other things that are miserable to paint.  Wednesday our appliances are being delivered and Thursday we are having the bedroom carpets cleaned.  After that we will have to start moving in, cause that gives us about three days to be out of our apartment.  Busy, busy, busy!  I will keep you posted with before and after pics!
