Cupcakes!!!

Saturday Kevin and I decided to make some cupcakes.  I wasn't originally going to decorate them.  I was just going to throw some icing on top.  Then we got an idea to squirt the icing out the corner of a sandwich baggie.  And this was the result.  Now keep in mind I'm not the most creative person in the world AND we only had one color of icing.  Next time I'm going to buy all the supplies and really do them up right.  Maybe for Lydia's second birthday.  Towards the end of decorating I ran out of ideas so I just squirted some icing on top and called it good.  We had so many cupcakes that we decided to deliver some to our neighbors.  They have two little girls and they were pretty excited to find out they were about to eat cupcakes.

Here's me being little Miss Merry Homemaker.  And Ashley, if you look real close, on the right door of the fridge is your Easter card.  :)

After we made and ate some cupcakes we decided to get a gym membership.  No, seriously.  We went down to our local YMCA and Kevin added me and Lydia to his membership for a ridiculously low price.  I wish there was a YMCA in Tyler.  And the best part about it is that they have child care.  :)  So I can just drop Lydia off to play and I can go workout.
Only a week and a half till we head back to Texas.  We are both really looking forward to this trip.  They are always a little hectic and it seems like there's never enough time, but it's nice to be home and visit with family and friends.  This time we are heading to Austin while we're in town to visit the bro and sis-in-law.  They haven't seen Lydia since Christmas.  They are going to be amazed with how much she has grown and changed.
It rained here all weekend long.  It finally stopped raining Monday evening.  I thought I was going to have to construct an ark.  Our backyard turned into a pond, poor dogs just had to stay inside for about 4 days straight.

  1. I LOVE that Lauren is on your fridge! That made me so happy! I love the cupcakes...is there anyway that those would fit into an envelope?
