It Didn't Work

     Well I was wrong about the whole swaddle thing.  Apparently that isn't the problem, although I am glad she doesn't have to sleep in her swaddle anymore.  She is still waking up at night a lot.  Last night it started at 10:30.  Way earlier than normal.  We are going to try a variety of things one at a time and see if any of them make a difference.  I wish each baby came with their own instruction manual.  But I guess that would make life too easy.  I'm not sure what we are going to try next but it probably won't solve the problem.  I have a feeling it's just going to take time.  This might just be something she has to grow out of. 

     Well Kevin started his last week in the classroom today.  He has four tests this week and then next week he is starting a one week rotation with an eye doctor.  Then we're on our way to Texas after that for Christmas.  We may try and leave Friday night (the 17th) when we would be putting Baby Girl down to sleep and just drive through the night.  That was Kevin's idea and I think it might be best for Lydia.  Just so she's not riding in a car seat all day Friday and then going straight to bed.  I don't think she would like that very much. 

     Well the pediatrician's office just called me back and their suggestion was to let her cry it out.  Even if it takes her a COUPLE HOURS!  Now I don't know about that.  I can understand 15 to 30 minutes but I don't know if I can lay in bed and listen to her cry for 2 hours.  But if that's what it takes to get her sleeping through the night then that's what it takes.  Well tonight's gunna be a long one folks.  I'll let you know how it turns out.
