The Park!

Lydia is feeling a bit under the whether, so she's been cooped up inside more than normal.  Therefore, Kevin and I decided a trip to the park would do her some good.  She loves climbing, sliding, swinging and staring at strangers so this worked out well.  She had a blast!

My little cutie!

The other day Kevin took her shoes and socks off and told her that her feet were hot.  She then proceeded to blow on them like she has learned to blow on hot food.  She grabbed her foot and put it right up to her mouth and blew.  You can only imagine how cute and funny that was.
I have almost completed my first week of running in preparation for the 10k in March.  And I must say, I'm feeling pretty good.  Nine more weeks to go.

Baby Dedication

I told you I'd post pics of the baby dedication, so here they are:

Lydia did very well during her short time in the sanctuary.  I knew she would.  When she's in a place where there is so much to look at (including people) she does really well.  She's too busy taking in all the sights to remember that she probably wants to run around and talk.

That night when Kevin and I were going to bed we went in to check on Lydia and this is what we saw.  The blue hamper sits outside her bed on the floor most of the time.  She must have reached through the slats and got it over the bed.  It was a funny sight.

I Love Having Goals!

I have been wanting to get back in shape for a long time.  I don't really have any weight to lose so to speak I just want to be tone again.  I love the feeling of being strong and the thought of running 3 miles and not getting sick to my stomach at the same time.  So as of two days ago I am going to participate in the Tyler Azalea Run which is a 10k (around 6 miles).  I have 10 weeks till the big day on March 24th.  I have run twice in the last few days and so far so good, besides the extremely sore muscles and really bad knees.  I'm so glad my friend Colette, who just had a baby 2 weeks ago, is going to train with me.  Along with another friend who is very motivated as well.  It helps so much to know I'm not doing this alone.
Here's what we've been up to this week:

Lydia enjoys watching shows on Daddy's computer.  She's not too good at letting the shows play through to the end.  She loves to mess with the laptop, which in turn pauses the show constantly.

Here they are again, the best buddies ever.  And yes that is a bouncy for a little bitty baby, not two rowdy toddlers.

And now I introduce you to gangster Lydia.

Tomorrow at church we are having Lydia dedicated.  Which basically means that Kevin and I are vowing to raise our child in a godly way.  I've been looking forward to this day for a while.  Lydia is going to be so cute tomorrow (just like every other day).  I have already made her a bow that will hopefully look decent with her pretty little dress.  I will definitely post pics.

The Cold Shoulder and a New Baby

Yesterday Kevin and I drove back from Austin after being gone for three days.  We went to go help his brother and wife have their grand opening for their gym.  My mom was off work this week so we left Lydia with her so we would be able to help out more at the gym.  I think Lydia had too good of a time with Nana cause it took her till this afternoon to warm back up to me.  It was kinda sad.  It makes me never want to leave her again.  But it was probably a good thing that we didn't take her with us cause I wouldn't have been able to help out much at all.

Here are a few things that we've been up to:

Last week we watched Noah for a little bit while his Mommy went to her last doctor's appt.  Lydia and Noah are best buds and they are so cute together.

Then two days later Noah was given a baby brother.  Little Witten was Tyler's first baby of the year.  He has already had his 15 min of fame: he was on every news channel and in the paper.

Proud Mommy with her new baby boy.
