Plethora of Pictures!

We've had a pretty fun filled week.  Last Tuesday Lydia and I went over to her cousins house so we could play.  Lydia and Maddie took turns pushing each other around in the play stroller.  They also enjoyed trading shoes and bows.  Wednesday was play date so we went over to Miss. Colette's house.  It ended up being only Lydia and Noah at play date, but that's okay.  Those two love playing with each other.  They just scream and laugh and carry on.  Later that afternoon my dad came over to our apartment cause he just so happened to be in Tyler.  So Lydia showed her Grandpa how she plays at home.  And of course I forgot to take pictures.  Later that night we went back over to Stephan and Colette's for $1 sloppy joes from Bodacious.  Noah and Lydia got to play for a second time and they were even crazier that evening.  Thursday evening we went back over to the DuToit's for some yummy lasagna and then Colette and I took a short trip to TCBY.  :)   Friday morning was the Baby Boo party!  I dressed Lydia up in her adorable Pebbles costume that I made.  I was so proud of myself that I actually made her costume.  It was so cute to see all the little babies dressed up in their costumes.  Then Saturday was cousin Maddie's 2nd birthday party.  We had a busy, but fun weekend.

Little Miss Lauren was a nun.  So cute!!

This was the best group picture we could muster.

Lydia had to take a water break from all the fun.

Not Much Going On

There hasn't been too much going on this week.  Just the usual stuff.  Friday night we went over to a friends house and hung out with all our Sunday School peeps and ate some burgers and hot dogs.  I brought some yummy pumpkin spice donut holes.  I found the recipe on Pinterest.com.  If you don't know what pinterest is, you need to check it out.  It's full of neat ideas.  They should pay me for that little shout out.

Here's Lydia playing with her night night turtle.  It changes colors when you press the buttons, so she's trying it out.

Last Thursday we went over to Mimi and Pawpaw's house.  Lydia got to see her dogs and play on the swing set.

I like this picture cause Lydia looks cute and I caught Maggie with her tongue poking out.

While we were there I got to get on a tractor thingy.  I dug up some dirt and buried a couple stumps.  It was pretty fun.  I didn't take any pictures though.  :(

I was only there for about an hour and a half and then Mommy went to a scentsy party at a friends house.  I try to take advantage of any and every opportunity for some girl time.  I'm still playing catch up from Missouri.

Kevin discovered that we get two channels.  NBC and the spanish channel.  I actually had the TV on yesterday for the first time in months.  Lydia is not used to the TV being on so she was mesmerized.

The Zoo!

Last week Lydia and I went to the zoo and met some buddies there.  The weather was very nice.  It was a great morning to go look at some animals.

Here's Lydia and Noah ready to see what awaits them.

Group picture.  Somebody said the word "bow" so Lydia reached up and wouldn't stop messing with hers.

These big cats put on a show for the little babies.  They just followed them back and forth as they paced.

Here they are looking at the black bears.  We placed all three in the window sill so they could watch the bears pace too.

Lydia loved the petting zoo.  It was short lived cause Noah splattered on the ground in some mud.  :)  It didn't seem to phase him though.

This last picture has nothing to do with the zoo.  I just thought it was cute.  I love shirtless babies!

Poor Widdle Baby

Poor widdle Lydia is sick.  She woke up yesterday morning with a fever and it's pretty much just continued throughout today.  This morning we went up to the clinic Kevin is working at and he checked her ears and throat and they were both fine.  So at least I know it's not an ear infection.  She just looks so miserable, tired and sad.  She normally wakes up in a good mood and I have to chase her around her crib (while she's still in it) to be able to catch her and get her up.  The last two mornings when I've gone in there she's just sitting there and whining and lets me pick her right up, which is very unusual.

Can you find Lydia?  Today we got in a little play time between checking temps and drinking medicine.  Her facial expression in this picture is amusing.  It looks like she's saying "really mom, is this necessary".
And then she wanted to check her own temperature.  She does this with her suction bulb too.  She puts in in her ear and mouth instead of where she knows it goes (her nose).

Please keep my widdle baby in your prayers.

Weekend Getaway

This weekend Kevin and I went to Ft. Worth.  We dropped Lydia off with Mimi and Pawpaw and we were outa there.  We went to a lot of places that we've never been before.  When we got there we first went to an art museum and looked at paintings.  I originally thought that just snobby people and extremely artsy people did that, but it was actually pretty neat.  After that we went to the Botanical Gardens.  I enjoyed that a lot.  You only pay $1 per person to get into the "rain forest" area.  There were sooo many neat plants and trees in there that I've never seen before.  After that we went to the Ft. Worth Stockyards and did a little shopping.  Then we went and ate at PF Chang's for dinner and then just walked around downtown.  Saturday morning we went and checked out "Pottery in the Park".  If I would have had the money to spend on some of that pottery I would have!  Kevin and I got inspired to take pottery classes sometime.  Then it was back to the Stockyards cause we didn't get to see everything Friday.  And lastly, it was homeward bound to see our baby girl!!!  We missed her tremendously!

Here's Lydia the other day playing with Nana's purse.  Nana came for a visit to see her favorite grandchild, and maybe me (but I doubt it).

Here's Kevin and I outside the art museum.

 My awesome model pose!!
I know you've probably all seen a squirrel before, but this one was apparently so used to people that he didn't want to move.
We went to our first jazz club too!  It was down this little alley and when we got to the door it was actually an elevator.  Kevin and I just looked at each other and asked "should we go in"?  It was like something you see in a movie.  It almost looked like if you stepped onto the elevator you were never going to come back out.  It was a little creepy, but we went anyway.  :)  I'm glad we did cause it was a  really good band and singer.

Love This Weather!!

It's so awesome now that it's not 110 degrees outside.  Even when you walk outside at 3 in the afternoon it's not that bad.  Lydia and I went for one of our usual morning walks with some friends yesterday and I had to bundle her up a bit.  I even brought gloves for her.  I absolutely love fall.  It is definitely my favorite season.  Although this time of year it's a little tricky on how I should dress Lydia.  It's a little chilly in the mornings and it's warm by 11.
I didn't have any plans for us this morning but Lydia wanted to go somewhere.  I guess she's so used to us going somewhere in the morning she was wondering why we were still home.  While I was eating breakfast she walked to the front door and tried to reach the door knob and kept saying "bye bye" and waving like she had places to be.  So I quickly got dressed and threw some makeup on and we went to Hobby Lobby.  After that, we went and visited Mimi at work and then went and played with Noah and Auntie Coco for a little bit before heading home for lunch and a nap.

I had to keep Lydia entertained while I got ready this morning so I threw her some toys to play with.  She likes to play with one of my old purses.  She even puts it over her shoulder and says "bye bye".

She was ready to go this morning!

Every girl needs a purse, a guitar and some stacking cups.  :)

This weekend Kevin and I are heading to Fort Worth while Mimi and Pawpaw watch Lydia.  We will only be gone one night.  I don't think I could leave Lydia longer than that just yet.  My main goal while we are there is to eat at PF Changs.  I love that restaurant!
