Pool Time...Sort Of

Wow, I can't believe I'm updating my blog twice in one week.  Pat myself on the back.  This month Kevin started working in Longview some, and those shifts start at 6am.  So that means he has to wake up about 4:30 in the morning.  I am definitely not jealous.  That also means he has to go to bed pretty early, which leaves me just sitting around.  Therefore, I update my blog.  I only have a few pictures to post.

While Witten and Noah were over visiting the other day, Lydia decided to do some tummy time with Witten.  If there is a baby around she completely loses sight of everything else and wants to be right there in their faces.  It was sweet though when Witten was in his carseat crying, Lydia kept putting his pasi back in his mouth.  She's such a sweet little mama.

Today we went down to the pool to get out of the apartment.  The water was still pretty cold, but Lydia didn't seem to mind.  She only stayed on the first couple steps.  I know it looks like she's naked in the above pic, but I promise she has a swim diaper on.  Check out her farmers tan.  :)

As of a couple days ago Lydia is 21 months old.  I can't believe she's almost two!  This is such a fun age.  It's so neat to watch her learn something everyday, and to be able to watch her think through problems.  Tonight I told her to give me a kiss, so she came over and kissed me.  Then I told her to give her daddy a kiss, so she kissed him.  Then I told her to give herself a kiss.  I wasn't sure if she was going to understand what I was saying, but she thought about it for a second and then smacked herself in the face with her own hand.  I guess she was kissing her hand.  It's just the little things they do everyday that amazes you as to how much they really do know and understand.
Tonight I thought she was going to fall asleep while eating for the first time.  She once again skipped her nap and was extremely tired.  She was eating some apples and started dozing off right in front of me. For those of you who don't know my child that well, this is EXTREMELY unusual.  She only falls asleep in her crib and pack and play while traveling.  Never in your arms and very rarely in her carseat.  So when I saw her start to doze off at the table, I was questioning what I was seeing and just plain bewildered.  She never actually fell asleep.  Once she realized what was happening she just got fussy.  It was cute while it lasted.
Kevin and I got some good news today.  We will hopefully be closing on our house the fist week of May instead of mid-May.
