Texas at Last

     It's been a while since my last update.  We are now in Texas, been here since 3 am Saturday morning.  We pulled out of the driveway at 8pm Friday night and it took us almost exactly 7 hours.  That might be record breaking time.  And on top of that we had a baby and two dogs with us.  Lydia did great during the drive.  She didn't sleep the whole time but the time she was awake she was quiet.  I was really hesitant about how she would sleep when we first got here but so far so good.  She's been sleeping the same at night here as she was at home.  She hasn't been taking as long of naps and sometimes it takes her a lot longer to fall asleep but she's sleeping at night so that's good enough for me.  Last night she didn't wake up till 7am and then went right back to sleep.  The grandparents have loved seeing her.  Last Saturday we left for Fort Worth around 12:30 and left Lydia with Kevin's parents.  I know they were super excited to keep her.  We went and ate at PF Changs and then went to see the Nutcracker ballet at Bass Hall downtown.  Our hotel was really nice.  We had a great time.  It was a little weird not to have the baby with us though.  We got back around noon on Sunday.  While we were gone (a whole 24 hours) Lydia decided to cut her first tooth at Mimi's.  You can barely see some white coming through the gums.  Her second front bottom tooth is also about to come up.  It's gunna be so cute to see two little teeth poking out of her huge smile.
